# What is the order flow for business deliveries?

When you request a delivery, how a driver gets assigned depends on the order type. ASAP orders go out to nearby drivers right away. Scheduled deliveries — whether standard, catering, or special handling — are handled a bit differently depending on the order. Either way, you and your customer get text updates with a GPS tracking link as it moves along.

### Details

Here's how it works, step by step:
1. **Request** — You submit a delivery request.
2. **Dispatch** — **ASAP** orders go out to nearby available drivers right away. **Scheduled standard deliveries** are offered to nearby drivers about 5–10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Scheduled catering orders or Special Handling deliveries are typically pre-assigned to a driver hours or days in advance, based on what the order needs.
3. **Acceptance** — A driver accepts the order (or, for pre-assigned deliveries, confirms it).
4. **Pickup and delivery** — The driver picks up the order and delivers it to the customer.
5. **Updates** — Both you and the customer get text updates as the delivery progresses.

| On top of the text updates, you can track and manage your deliveries directly through your dashboard. This gives you a real-time view of where things stand, without needing to wait on a text.

### What's Next?

* Once you submit a delivery request, you don't need to do anything else. ASAP and scheduled standard orders go out to nearby drivers automatically; scheduled catering or special-handling orders get a driver assigned ahead of time.
* Keep an eye on your phone for text updates, or check your dashboard for a live view.
* If a delivery seems delayed or something looks off, reach out to support for help.
