How do I apply to be a UniHop driver?

You can apply by completing the UniHop driver application form. After you submit, the driver team reviews your application. Support can’t check your status, speed up review, or edit your submission. If you made a mistake, submit a new application with the correct details.

Details

Step-by-step: How to apply
  1. Open the UniHop driver application form:
  2. Fill out the application with accurate details (especially your email, phone number, and vehicle information, etc.).
  3. Submit your application.
  4. Watch for updates — if you’re eligible for next steps, the driver team will contact you using the information you provided.

What happens after you apply?

Once submitted, your application enters a review process handled by the driver team. If you qualify to move forward, you’ll be contacted through your email and/or phone number listed on the form.

Because updates are sent using your submitted contact info, typos or missing details can prevent you from receiving review messages.

Support can’t help with application status (important)

To keep the driver application process consistent and handled in one place, Support is not able to:

  • view or verify the status of your driver application
  • speed up or “expedite” application review
  • make changes to your submitted application
  • answer application-specific questions (including why an application is pending, approved, or declined)

If you made a mistake on your application

If any details were incorrect (name, email, phone number, vehicle info, etc.), the best solution is to submit a new application with the correct information.

Common examples:

  • wrong email or phone number (you won’t receive updates)
  • incorrect vehicle type/size
  • missing or incomplete details that affect eligibility

Want to take catering (Special Handling) deliveries?

Some UniHop deliveries require Special Handling / Catering due to larger orders, careful handling, professional drop-offs, and light setup expectations.

To become eligible for UniHop’s catering orders, take the Catering approval test here:

It’s a quick test and covers the key requirements for catering deliveries.

Catering bag requirement

Because catering deliveries often include multiple large trays, boxed meals, and bulk bags, drivers must be properly equipped before accepting these orders.

Drivers should make sure they have the required size and the minimum number of catering bags available before taking a catering (Special Handling) delivery.

Having the right bags helps ensure:

  • Food stays hot/cold during transport
  • Items are protected from spills, shifting, or damage
  • The delivery looks professional at drop-off
  • The driver can carry items safely and efficiently in fewer trips

If a driver arrives without the required catering bags (or not enough bags), they may be unable to complete the delivery to standard and the order may need to be reassigned or canceled.

Example catering bag (for reference)

This is an example of the type of oversized insulated bag often used for catering orders:

Note: This link is for reference only. Drivers may use comparable catering bags as long as they meet the required size and capacity expectations.

What “Special Handling / Catering” usually includes

Catering orders may involve:

  • Larger quantity of items and heavier loads
  • Multiple bags/boxes/trays that must stay level and secure
  • More careful handling to prevent tipping, leaks, or damaged packaging
  • Professional drop-offs (businesses, events, offices, meetings)
  • Light setup expectations (ex: placing items on a table/counter as instructed—no full event setup)

Quick driver checklist before accepting a catering order

Before accepting a Catering / Special Handling delivery, drivers should confirm:

  • They have the required size (XXL-XXXL) catering bags
  • They have the minimum (2+) number of catering bags needed for the order
  • Their vehicle has enough space to keep items stable and upright
  • They can follow delivery notes (entrance, elevator, contact person, etc.)
  • They can complete a professional drop-off (clean presentation, careful placement)
