Can I cancel a delivery after placing an order?

Yes—cancelling a UniHop delivery is often possible, and what you can do usually depends on the current delivery status (for example, whether the order is still waiting for pickup or already in progress). In general, the sooner you reach out, the more flexibility you’ll have, and our Support team can help you quickly understand your options so you can make the best decision.

Details

Cancellation options can vary based on where your delivery is in the process, since different stages involve different levels of driver time, mileage, and effort. Here’s what it typically looks like:

  • Before pickup / before the delivery starts:

If the order has not been picked up yet, cancellation is usually possible, especially if the delivery is still being assigned or the driver hasn’t started traveling to the pickup location. This is often the easiest stage to cancel because the delivery hasn’t begun, and fewer resources have been used.

  • After pickup / once delivery is in progress:

If the driver has already picked up the item—or is actively en route to complete the delivery—cancellation may be limited, and fees may apply. This is because the driver may already have traveled to the pickup location, completed the pickup, or committed time and mileage to the delivery. In these cases, Support can still review what’s possible and explain the best next step based on the situation.

If you’re not sure what stage your delivery is in, don’t stress—you don’t have to figure it out alone. UniHop Support can check the real-time order status, confirm whether a driver is assigned or already in motion, and clearly walk you through the cancellation options available.

What's next?

If you’d like to cancel, contact Support with your order details and let us know:

  • that you’d like to cancel the delivery (and the specific reason—for example: change of plans, duplicate order, timing issue, store closure, or recipient unavailable)
  • whether the issue is related to timing, an address change, an item problem, or something else that might be resolved without cancelling

From there, we’ll confirm the current status and explain your available options—whether that’s a straightforward cancellation, a possible adjustment, or the quickest way to avoid further delays.
