Do I need to set delivery fees in Shopify?

It depends on which app you use with UniHop. With Zapiet or Bird, you set the delivery fee your customers pay. With Hailship, you set a markup instead, because it quotes UniHop live at checkout.

Details

A delivery fee is what you charge your customers for delivery. This is separate from what UniHop charges you.

Zapiet (Pickup + Delivery)

Yes. Configure the fee in your Shopify or Zapiet settings so orders process correctly. UniHop doesn't set it for you, but can pass our delivery fee to you via API if you'd rather base your rates on it.

Bird by BirdChime

Yes. You set the rates your customers pay in Bird, and UniHop bills you separately. BirdChime's guide to configuring delivery rates has the current steps.

Hailship

Not a flat fee. Hailship quotes UniHop live at checkout and applies the markup you've set, so your rates are configured in Hailship rather than in Shopify. See Hailship's carrier setup guide for how markup works.
