Does UniHop shop or purchase items for me?

No. UniHop delivers items, but doesn't buy them for you. You (or the store) need to place and pay for the order before a driver picks it up.

Details

UniHop is a delivery service, not a personal shopper. Drivers pick up items and bring them to you, but they don't select products, pay for orders, or shop on your behalf.

This means your order needs to be placed and paid for before you request a UniHop delivery. How you do that depends on the store:

  • If the store takes online orders, place your order on their website or app, pay there, and choose pickup. Once it's ready, request a UniHop driver to grab it and bring it to you.
  • If the store doesn't take online orders, you'll need to go in and pay for the item yourself first. Once it's paid for and ready to go, you can request a UniHop driver to pick it up. This is more common with big and bulky items.

Every store is different, and UniHop doesn't control which option is available. If you're not sure whether a store takes online orders, check their website or give them a quick call before requesting a delivery.

Drivers can't pay for your order at pickup, even if you send them money separately. If an order isn't paid for when the driver arrives, they won't be able to complete the pickup, and the delivery may be canceled.

What's Next

  • Confirm that the item you want shipped is fully paid for before requesting a UniHop delivery.
  • Check the store's website (or call them) to see if they offer online ordering — don't assume either way.
  • Once your order is paid for and ready, request your delivery here.
  • If you run into a store that requires special pickup instructions, add those details in your delivery notes so your driver can find and collect your order without delays.
