What happens if my order isn’t ready at pickup?

You must confirm that your order is ready for pickup before scheduling a delivery. If it’s not ready when the driver arrives, the delivery may be cancelled, and cancellation fees may apply.

Details

It’s very important to make sure the order is fully ready for release before requesting delivery. This helps avoid delays, failed pickups, and extra charges.

If the order is not ready when the driver arrives, a few things may happen:

  • The driver may wait briefly if the order is almost ready
  • If the delay is longer, the delivery may be cancelled
  • If a driver has already been assigned or is on the way, cancellation fees may apply

Once a driver is assigned, rescheduling is usually no longer possible. The order will need to be cancelled, and a new delivery request must be submitted after the store confirms it is ready.

For scheduled deliveries, you may still be able to adjust the time only if no driver has been assigned yet.

Most failed pickups happen when:

  • The order is still being prepared
  • The store cannot find or release the order
  • Pickup requirements are not completed

Confirming readiness ahead of time helps prevent these issues.

What’s next

Before requesting delivery, contact the store and make sure your order is fully ready for pickup.

If your delivery was cancelled because the order was not ready, wait until the store confirms it is available, then submit a new delivery request.
