Are deliveries insured?

Yes. Every delivery placed through UniHop includes Hired and Non-Owned Auto (HNOA) insurance, which begins once the order is marked as Picked Up.

If an issue occurs during delivery, UniHop may review the claim and investigate what happened. Any refund or compensation depends on the circumstances of the incident, the order type, the declared order value, and whether a refund cap extension was selected at checkout. Reimbursement is subject to applicable terms, conditions, and coverage limits, and is not guaranteed up to the full order value.

How protection works

Deliveries arranged through UniHop include HNOA insurance coverage to help protect people and property during the delivery process.

If a problem happens during delivery, UniHop may investigate the order before deciding whether compensation may apply. The review is based on the order details, the declared order value, and the outcome of the investigation.

What is required to submit a claim

To help make an item eligible for review, please keep these requirements in mind:

  • Declare the order value: The item value must be entered when the delivery request is created.
  • Provide proof of subtotal: If a claim is submitted, you may be asked to provide a receipt showing the order subtotal only, excluding taxes, tips, and other fees.
  • Understand coverage limits: Coverage may vary depending on state regulations, item type, and order size. For **Business **orders, reimbursement is typically issued as UniHop delivery credit.
  • Check high-value item coverage in advance: If you are sending high-value items, contact support before booking to confirm coverage limits or ask about a refund cap extension.

Protection for transported items

UniHop also has a refund process that may help protect transported items in eligible situations.

Refunds or compensation are reviewed based on the delivery details and what occurred during the order. For more information, please review our refund policy here:

Shopping deliveries

Shopping deliveries include a default refund cap, with the option to extend coverage in some cases.

This may be especially helpful for:

  • larger shopping orders
  • higher-value retail items
  • customers who want added peace of mind

Oversize transports

Oversize transports are also protected, and that protection is already included in the delivery price.

This can be especially valuable for:

  • large-item transport
  • heavy or bulky deliveries
  • business or commercial delivery needs

Important note: All claims are subject to formal investigation. Coverage, refunds, and compensation depend on the circumstances of the order, the declared order value, and applicable coverage limits. Reimbursement should not be interpreted as a guarantee of full recovery.
